Over the last several decades I've addressed the question
of the link between matter and consciousness.  
The firmest ground I found to start with is
the work by Dr. Carl Jung on Synchronicity.

Synchronicity in Brief:

"The concept of Synchronicity indicates a meaningful coincidence of two or more events, where something other than the probability of chance is involved. Chance is a statistical concept which 'explains' deviations within certain patterns of probability. Synchronicity elucidates meaningful arrangements and coincidence which somehow go beyond the calculations of probability. Precognition, clairvoyance, telepathy, etc. are phenomena which are inexplicable by chance, but become empirically intelligible through the employment of the principle of Synchronicity, which suggests a kind of harmony at work in the interrelation of both psychic and physical events." Dr. Jung wrote on a few of the existing systems that use Synchronicity:

The I-Ching and Tarot Cards

Both the I-Ching and Tarot Cards are 'simple' detectors of synchronistic energy or patterns. (Decades later theoreticians formalized part of the underlying physics: now called "Chaotic Behavior" or "Chaos Theory" -- Where a butterfly flapping its wings in Brazil, could influence the weather across the North American Continent)

[There is an excellent book:  Chaos: Making a New Science, by James Gleick, written about a decade ago, that discusses the discovery of Chaos theory and its implications.]

It occurred to me that if these were 'primitive' or 'low-tech' receptors of synchronistic energy/ patterns /organization/ etc., that it should be theoretically possible to create a generator of synchronistic energy.

Thus, over two decades ago, I embarked on creating such a technology. First we examined existing historic/ metaphysical/ religious/ spiritual/ and scientific literature to see if there was anything concrete. Unfortunately, with the exception of Dr. Jung's work on Synchronicity, there wasn't anything useful (Chaos Theory/ Fractal Mathematics had not yet been invented).

After years of considering the problem and postulating possible designs, in 1989, I finally sat down and started designing a computer system that would, hopefully, create synchronistic energy. I used concepts from music, meditation, prayer, chanting, chaos theory and fractal mathematics. I "tuned" or adjusted the patterns intuitively, for maximum perception effect.

The first attempts were remarkably successful in creating synchronistic effects. Since then over the last decade, we've refined the technology and have released the third software package based on the Synchronicity Engine TM  technology.

Perhaps the best way to describe the first effect when the software is run, is that most people report a presence is generated in the room. An awareness.

When I've run the software for several months nonstop, the effect builds up to the feeling of being in a cathedral (or in 'Giant Sequoia Forest Cathedral').

The perception of awareness ceases when the software is paused. We've found this is the best way for people to initially perceive one of its effects on consciousness and the environment. When it starts, the Synchronicity Engine software ramps up in speed. Pausing it is abrupt and provides the best contrast for its effect.

Over the years, I've come to view this synchronistic energy/pattern as equivalent to the 'Force' in Star Wars. Several years back, I read that George Lucas had patterned the 'Force' as a unified concept derived from many mythic/ shamanistic/ spiritual disciplines from around the world.

Thus was Jedi Technologies born . . .

Technologies for the mind/matter paradigms now emerging.
